REH commissions its third hydro power plant South Africa (10/08/2016)
Stortemelk Hydro, the third hydro power plant developed in South Africa by hydro-power developer, owner and operator, Renewable Energy Holdings (Pty) Ltd (‘REH’) commenced commercial operations on 29 July 2016. The combined capacity of the REH’s portfolio of hydro power plants in South Africa is 11MW with an annual generation in excess of 70GWh.

A Draft Scoping Report has been produced for the planned Spitskop Wind Farm project which is located in the province of Eastern Cape, South Africa.

South Africa: Energy centre to boost growth in Qunu (14/01/2011)
The South African Government and fuel company Sasol launched the R8 million Integrated Energy Centre (IEC) at former President Nelson Mandela's birth place earlier today. The centre will provide products such as aluminum paraffin, diesel, petrol, gas burner stoves as well as renewable energy solar system.
